Inspired by a stained glass window created in the 1930s, this piece draws upon the vibrant colors and intricate patterns favored by Florence Dibell Bartlett, the founder of the Museum of International Folk Art. Bartlett, who purchased and restored the San Gabriel Ranch in New Mexico, was captivated by the beauty of Native American beadwork, and her admiration for this art form is reflected in the window's design.
